1)EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS:

Foundational Program

“Affordable Aspects of Legal and Financial Planning for Children with Special Needs AND the rest of your of your family!”

As a parent, especially one of a child or adult child with Special Needs, one of the most important things you can do is ensure that a proper legal and financial plan has been established to provide for your loved one when you are no longer able to care for them.

Did you know…
  • If your Dependent receives $2000 or more as the direct beneficiary of a Life Insurance Policy, 401(K) Retirement Plan, IRA, Pension Plan, Annuity, Real Estate or any other Investment Vehicle that they could lose their governmental benefits (i.e. Medicaid) and have to pay it ALL back?
  • If a proper plan is not in place at the time you are no longer able to care for the Special Needs Dependent, your loved one could be turned over to the state?
  • When your child reaches the age of 18 years, you will no longer have the decision-making rights you are accustomed to having; you do not automatically continue to be your child’s guardian- even in Medical situations? If not, you are not alone. We have found that many parents/caregivers don’t have the necessary information to help insure the proper protection for their loved ones.
Items to be covered:
  • Building the plan to provide for our child’s lifetime;
  • The role of Public Assistance including SSI and Medicaid
  • Importance of an Estate Plan and Public Assistance
  • Special Needs Trusts/Role of Trustee
  • Special Financial Considerations
  • How to AFFORDABLY Fund your Childs Financial Future and the Rest of your Family!
  • Intro to Guardianship
The Foundational Program is given by both a Special Needs Attorney and Financial Advisor both live and via Webinar.
